Job Summary

Supervise daily shift operations for the unloading, storage, and load-out of metal alloys and other bulk commodities. Lead union-represented employees by managing work schedules, overseeing maintenance and terminal personnel safety/environmental practices, and training teams under the SQE program. Act as a business leader by managing P&Ls, KPIs/MOEs, forecasting accuracy, and executing expansion projects, while serving as a risk manager to prevent safety, environmental, and operational failures.

•Supervise shift operations, maintenance, technical, and administrative activities to ensure safe company operations.
•Supervise development of terminal personnel, including safety, environmental awareness, employee conduct, and operational cross-training.
•Ensure proper use of controls, procedures, and safety criteria across terminal functions.
•Assess and recommend procedures to reduce costs and improve productivity while managing KPIs/MOEs and forecasting.
•Supervise union employees effectively, communicate/enforce standards, support multiple shifts and bulk commodity operations, and promote the SQE program.

Key Requirements

•Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent, or related work experience.
•3 to 5 years of progressively more responsible production-operations experience.
•Experience with bulk operations, including rail, truck, and barge loading/unloading.
•Demonstrated knowledge of electrical control systems, PLC systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical issues in bulk transfer.
•Prior supervisory experience with a union-represented employee workforce.
