Job Summary

Select and purchase quality products for the business by coordinating scheduling, buying equipment, materials, supplies, and expediting services. Manage vendor relationships to ensure products are ordered at optimum cost and delivered within the stated timeframe. Partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve procurement challenges, implement procurement strategy for supply continuity, analyze spend and inventory impacts, and deliver price-saving projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Select and purchase quality products, coordinating scheduling and purchasing of equipment, materials, supplies, and expediting services.
•Work with vendors to ensure on-time deliveries, consistent quality, uninterrupted supply, and best pricing.
•Handle procurement correspondence for under/over-shipments, delivery shortages, quantity or price changes, and delivery date changes.
•Act as a liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve procurement challenges.
•Implement procurement strategy for continuity of supply, analyze spend and inventory/payment-term impacts, and deliver price-saving projects.

Key Requirements

•3 to 5 years of minimum experience working in procurement.
•Post-secondary education and/or related work experience.
•Experience in a construction environment is preferred.
•Sound knowledge of procurement processes and best practices, including competitive bidding and general contract terms.
•Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex data and derive conclusions.
