Supervise day-shift plant operations for an 800 MW 2×1 combined cycle facility, providing real-time field leadership across Balance of Plant and Zero Liquid Discharge systems. Key Responsibilities

•Directly supervise and assign work to operations personnel during day shift, including enforcing procedures, Conduct of Operations standards, and safety rules.
•Provide field presence during high-risk evolutions and perform verification walkdowns; ensure quality shift turnover and accurate status communication.
•Manage operation of the 800 MW combined cycle facility and BOP systems (including ZLD), assuming responsibility during assigned shift and overseeing LOTO.
•Direct plant startups, shutdowns, and abnormal condition response; review logbooks/journals/reports to identify trends and risks while maintaining safety, environmental, and NERC compliance.
•Coordinate operations interface during outages/major maintenance, oversee operational clearance boundaries and switching/return-to-service processes, and train/mentor personnel toward CRO qualification.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 3–5 years control room operator (CRO) or supervisory experience in combined cycle plant operations (CTGs, STG, HRSG, BOP systems).
•Working knowledge of Siemens T3000 DCS and strong understanding of LOTO, switching, and energy control procedures.
•Ability to supervise and lead operations personnel in a union environment and make sound operational decisions under pressure.
•Proficiency in CMMS systems (Maximo and SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office; ability to read and interpret P&IDs, logic diagrams, and electrical one-lines.
•High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or technical certification preferred.
