Job Summary

Operate and maintain pipeline and terminal facilities to ensure safe, accurate transportation and storage of petroleum products. Perform inlet/outlet flow control, facility checks, rotating equipment and valve operation, and basic troubleshooting/repairs. Maintain pipeline integrity through damage prevention and excavation/backfilling controls, execute energy isolation procedures, and complete daily reporting and product measurement/sampling. Participate in incident response, shift turnovers, and contractor safety coordination for field operations in extreme outdoor conditions.

Key Responsibilities

•Control pipeline inlet and outlet product flows and respond effectively to abnormal and emergency conditions.
•Complete pipeline and facility checks, troubleshooting abnormal conditions as necessary.
•Safely operate rotating equipment, valves, LACT and metering systems, and hydrocarbon drain systems.
•Perform basic troubleshooting and repairs on pumps, motors, injectors, valves, meters, and related pipeline/terminal equipment.
•Carry out damage prevention and pipeline integrity activities, including excavation/backfilling, energy isolation plans, daily over/short reporting, shift turnovers, and incident command involvement.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Minimum two (2) years of relevant work experience at the prior level.
•Ability to speak, read, and write English and perform basic math; read and interpret pipeline maps, technical drawings, and schematics.
•Must be skilled in product measurement (gauging, metering, meter proving, sampling) and have basic computer skills (Excel/Microsoft Office/Word) for data entry.
•Ability to complete required Haz-Mat training and DOT operator qualifications, and work safely in moderate to heavy physically demanding outdoor conditions with extreme heat/cold.
