Key Responsibilities

  • •Install and repair telematics systems and devices on vehicles, construction equipment, heavy equipment, and customer assets.
  • •Operate machinery at times during installation for testing purposes.
  • •Remove and replace ignition systems without a custom keypad/controller, then integrate communication between keypad and telematics systems.
  • •Work through installation scenarios from basic power/ignition/ground to complex wiring harnesses involving the CAN network of vehicles and equipment.
  • •Travel to client sites or EquipmentShare rental yards for installation cases and troubleshoot issues to develop alternative solutions as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent (trade school certificate preferred).
  • •Mechanical aptitude and experience with hands-on tools; prior related experience (e.g., electrician, HVAC tech, car audio installer) is preferred.
  • •Ability to install telematics hardware reliably (including ignition system removal/replacement and wiring harnesses when needed).
  • •Must be able to travel within a 250-mile radius up to a week at a time and work occasional weekends/outside business hours.
  • •Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check (safety sensitive; contingent on a 10-panel drug screen).
