Key Responsibilities

  • •Develops software following Cisco design thinking principles, with focus on simplification and UX, using secure coding practices and privacy considerations.
  • •Partners with design and product management teams to create customer solutions and produce technical design documentation and user documentation.
  • •Debugs and addresses software issues in development and production; may participate in on-call rotations, lead postmortems, and write root cause analysis.
  • •Writes code enabling scale, reliability, and velocity; performs coding, debugging, testing, troubleshooting, and code reviews for others.
  • •Tracks product adoption and success metrics; stays current on engineering lifecycle trends and coaches others as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelors + 5 years of related experience, or Masters + 3 years of related experience, or PhD + 0 years of related experience.
  • •Proficiency with current technologies and working knowledge in the primary technical job family.
  • •Writes functional clean code and unit tests with minimal guidance.
  • •Performs coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the development process under minimal supervision.
  • •Understands secure coding principles and the threat model of a feature.
