Job Summary

Experienced Substation P&C Engineer responsible for technical design and construction support of utility-scale electrical infrastructure, focusing on protection and control design for high and medium voltage substations. Works on single-line diagrams, control schematics, wiring diagrams, panel design, and coordination with cross-functional teams in utility, industrial, and commercial environments in the Atlanta metro area.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical design support for substation protection and control (P&C) design, including development and review of single-line and three-line diagrams, control schematics, wiring and interconnection diagrams, and panel documentation.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and construction professionals to ensure design deliverables meet specifications, codes, and standards.
•Develop electrical engineering calculations for P&C design, including auxiliary power systems and voltage drop analyses.
•Assist with concept development and detailed design activities, incorporating equipment sizing, AC/DC systems, and panel design with focus on safety and constructability.
•Prepare technical documentation and exhibits for design reviews, and maintain quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering; or equivalent experience
•3 to 5 years of post-education experience in substation protection and control design for power transmission and distribution
•Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
•Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing
•Experience with substation protection and control design deliverables (control schematics, wiring diagrams, interconnection drawings, panel documentation)
