Key Responsibilities

  • •Write Linux user-space and kernel code to support DMA between 32-bit drivers and 64-bit virtual memory spaces using Intel/AMD IOMMU controllers.
  • •Program networking chips/ASICs to enable latency analysis, event counting, and hardware interaction; bootstrap hardware via Python.
  • •Implement layer 2 and layer 3 communications and routing protocols (e.g., LLDP, 802.1x, BFD; BGP, OSPF, ISIS).
  • •Update and reconcile hardware forwarding state by aligning the Linux kernel routing model with switch forwarding behavior.
  • •Build configuration management services and routing protocol agents, using Go/Python and C/C++ for concurrent, fault-tolerant operation in a Fedora Linux environment.

Key Requirements

  • •Interested graduate engineer focused on learning product development in C/C++ and other languages.
  • •Experience or willingness to write Linux user space and kernel code.
  • •Ability to work on the hardware/software boundary for networking chips including ASICs and FPGAs.
  • •Experience implementing networking communications and routing protocols across layers 2 and 3.
  • •Experience building configuration management and routing protocol agents using C/C++ within a Linux environment.
