Key Responsibilities

  • •Produce accurate 2D rail-civils drawings to UK standards and work through the full CAD lifecycle (site data–model–drawing–QA).
  • •Develop and check 2D/3D models for multidisciplinary rail projects, including creating 3D MicroStation models (e.g., track slab, walkways, structural elements).
  • •Apply CAD QA processes, structured drawing checks, and CAD QA practices (including CRA-V) to ensure coordinated design outputs.
  • •Support BIM-aligned workflows, including multidisciplinary model coordination and clash detection awareness in the 3D environment.
  • •Navigate ProjectWise to manage check-in/out, version control, workflows, document sets, and document control for UK and international rail projects.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a Civil Engineering diploma, or equivalent industry experience.
  • •8–12 years’ experience in rail infrastructure.
  • •Current competencies with relevant rail authorities (e.g., Network Rail, London Underground).
  • •Ability to work on 3D MicroStation and produce 2D rail-civils drawings to UK standards.
  • •Experience performing clash detection using Navisworks/iTwin and working with BIM-aligned workflows.
