Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor regulatory developments affecting Tether and affiliated companies across Francophone Africa and maintain relationships with policymakers, regulators, central banks, and financial intelligence units.
  • •Represent the company in consultations, workshops, industry roundtables, and regulatory dialogues.
  • •Prepare briefing papers, comment letters, and policy submissions aligned with global regulatory strategy.
  • •Assess licensing/registration requirements for country operations and support end-to-end licensing applications, including supplementary documentation and regulator communications.
  • •Provide risk and regulatory insights to internal stakeholders and support planning for product launches or regional expansions, including coordination for supervisory reviews and regulatory audits.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 5 years of governmental affairs, regulatory affairs, or legal experience, ideally in financial services or the crypto-asset industry in Africa.
  • •Experience engaging with regulators or government bodies to advocate and advise in a regulatory capacity, with demonstrated impact on policy positions.
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including synthesizing complex regulatory topics for non-technical audiences.
  • •Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across borders and time zones.
  • •Experience representing companies in regulatory discussions, including public speaking.
