Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform basic work using clearly prescribed procedures, including responding to customer requests for service connections and disconnections as qualified
  • •Inform customers of needed repairs and answer basic questions; ensure customers understand and are satisfied with work completed
  • •May disconnect service as necessary and perform collection efforts on delinquent accounts
  • •Install, program, and operate Wireless Meter Reading (WMR) equipment as necessary; may read meters and record usage for billing
  • •Assist with activities to ensure responsiveness to natural gas and other emergencies; complete and maintain accurate records and reports

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED level educational knowledge
  • •Valid driver’s license per company standards
  • •Complete assigned classes, Operator Qualifications (OQ), and OJT specific to the Service Learning Path
  • •Maintain required OQs and any required classroom training or certifications
  • •Ability to use the company internet/intranet tools for data entry, reference, and retrieval
