Key Responsibilities

  • •Set up and operate burring, cleaning, buffing, blasting, and heat-treat processes to generate rough and finish dimensions for aerospace parts.
  • •Load/unload and monitor heat treat baskets and furnaces, including hardness testing and monitoring equipment and instruments.
  • •Set up and operate furnace, atmosphere generation, and quench equipment controls; manage timers, temperature control, and monitoring recorder charts.
  • •Mount and align jigs/fixtures, select speeds/feeds, adjust stops/cams, and execute quality checks using mechanical and electronic gages.
  • •Maintain lot control and accurate documentation (QCP traceability, log book entries, NCRs) in accordance with ANSI requirements and the Certified Operator program.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • •Minimum 1 year of machining/utility, heat treat, or nitride experience.
  • •Minimum 1 year of GD&T experience (successful completion of Eaton Level 1 Advanced Training may be considered in lieu).
  • •Ability to access export-controlled information; applicant must be a U.S. person as defined by the posting.
  • •Ability to read and interpret moderately complicated blueprints and perform quality checks using mechanical and electronic gages.
