Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead commercial structuring, negotiation, review, and execution of long-term and short-term power agreements, including PPAs and back-to-back arrangements.
  • •Structure and manage commercial transmission arrangements (TSAs, wheeling, cross-border access rights, interconnection, capacity reservations, TUoS charges, grid connections).
  • •Assess commercial viability of transmission options and manage engagement with utilities, TSOs, interconnection entities, regulators, and other stakeholders.
  • •Identify, evaluate, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks across offtake, transmission, and trading (pricing, indexation/escalation, availability/volume obligations, curtailment, credit/counterparty, change-in-law/force majeure).
  • •Support project finance bankability by aligning commercial agreements with financial models and lender requirements, advising management on project economics and returns, and transferring knowledge to junior team members.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, Finance, Energy Systems, Law, or related discipline.
  • •Master’s degree or professional qualification in Commercial Management, Energy Economics, Law, or Project Finance (preferred).
  • •Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience across power, utilities, infrastructure, energy trading, project finance, or energy project development.
  • •Proven experience structuring, negotiating, or managing major infrastructure projects (US$300M+ capital values, including multi-billion-dollar projects).
  • •Demonstrated experience negotiating/structuring utility-scale and corporate PPAs, power trading agreements, cross-border power supply arrangements, and transmission service/wheeling/interconnection agreements.
