Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage assigned account base of sophisticated wealth management clients by working with client service team, clients and their professional advisors to develop a thorough understanding of the client’s needs and goals; exhibits mastery of fiduciary duties, applicable laws and oversight.
  • •Lead client conversations for goals-driven wealth management, providing proactive advice on Northern Trust products/services, regulatory/tax changes, and appropriate actions for the client.
  • •Maintain extensive knowledge of Northern Trust resources to identify opportunities for relationship enhancement and fiduciary service.
  • •Provide focused client service with responsive, diplomatic communication and effective time management, cultivating ongoing client contact.
  • •Apply fiduciary standards and internal policies to manage risk and resolve fiduciary issues; mentor junior staff and collaborate with advisory teams.

Key Requirements

  • •JD or similar professional credential strongly preferred
  • •12-15 years of experience as a relationship manager or attorney in trust administration, estate administration, estate planning, or related fields
  • •College degree or equivalent work experience
  • •Extensive knowledge of fiduciary standards, laws and regulations, and financial products
  • •Skills in negotiating, problem solving, leadership and sales
