Key Responsibilities

•Lead and grow Virta’s clinical research team, including doctoral-level investigators, and oversee virtual clinical trials and collaborations with academic investigators leading to peer-reviewed publications.
•Develop real-world evidence demonstrating clinical and economic outcomes, in collaboration with the data science team and external data sources.
•Develop a long-term scientific program strategy, coordinating conference/association activities and working with marketing to disseminate the evidence base.
•Lead and implement a coordinated KOL strategy in collaboration with the commercial team.
•Represent Virta’s science at scientific meetings, client calls, and internal forums, driving evidence-based initiatives across care, coaching, and product development.

Salary: USD 156,367 - 183,961 annually

Key Requirements

•Doctoral degree (PhD, DrPH, MD, PharmD, or equivalent) in HEOR, clinical outcomes research, health economics, health services research, pharmacoepidemiology, epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, quantitative social sciences, clinical research methodology, or related quantitative health research discipline.
•At least two years of experience working with patients directly in a clinical or research setting.
•At least two years in a leadership role analyzing and publishing claims sets and presenting economic outcomes of a clinical program.
•Five years of people leadership building, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
•Five years of business experience in a start-up or high-growth organization translating science for the marketplace.
