Job Summary

Provide specialized pre-sales and technical consulting support for enterprise Tableau deals involving complex data. Partner with prospects to deliver product demonstrations, perform needs analysis, and guide proof-of-concept work from requirements and design through training and delivery. Become a Tableau/ETL expert, support partners with joint technical sessions, and communicate daily with sales while acting as a liaison between customers and product management.

•Work with prospects’ data to deliver product demonstrations.
•Provide strategic pre-sales support for sales activities, including needs analysis and data review.
•Drive proof-of-concepts from requirements and design through training and delivery.
•Educate and train the sales force on Tableau features and ETL products.
•Provide proactive customer and prospect support, including serving as customer advocate and liaison for product management and development.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of experience in a Sales Engineer or Sales Consulting role.
•Strong SQL or MDX domain experience, including familiarity with database platforms such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Analysis Services, Essbase, and Netezza.
•Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Data Integrator, or Data Transformation Services.
•Strong communication and presentation skills for phone, email, face-to-face, and web meetings with prospects.
•Detail-oriented problem-solving with the ability to tackle difficult technical challenges.
