Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and operate customer-facing backend services and workflow product capabilities primarily in PHP and Java, with occasional frontend contributions when needed.
  • •Build reliable APIs, data models, integrations, asynchronous processes, and event-driven services using PostgreSQL, Kafka, REST, and gRPC.
  • •Own changes end-to-end across application code, service boundaries, infrastructure, and deployment configuration from technical design through production operation.
  • •Improve scalability, resilience, performance, security, and maintainability across distributed systems supporting customer-critical operations.
  • •Own observability, automated testing, release quality, production support, and incident response as part of the team on-call rotation.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of software engineering experience building, shipping, and operating production applications, with strong proficiency in PHP and/or Java.
  • •Strong software engineering fundamentals: maintainable architecture, automated testing, debugging, performance, security, and operational reliability.
  • •Solid understanding of API design, relational data modeling, PostgreSQL, distributed systems, and asynchronous/event-driven architecture.
  • •Hands-on experience with Kafka (or similar messaging/streaming), REST, gRPC, and service integrations.
  • •Experience owning cloud-native delivery and operations, including Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD, observability, and incident response.
