Job Summary

Lead and develop a cross-trained manufacturing team as a 1st shift Front Line Leader, coaching bargaining-unit employees and driving daily execution of MRP, takt time, and production goals. Monitor safety, manage Tiered Accountability and Total Employee Engagement, and coordinate PTO, overtime, corrective actions, and labor charging. Own team cost performance and process improvement through Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, while leading daily IPT meetings and communicating quality/cost/schedule metrics.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop a flexible, cross-trained workforce and execute daily performance using MRP, takt time, daily goals, and identification of POEM issues.
•Manage Tiered Accountability and Total Employee Engagement initiatives within the area of responsibility.
•Monitor safety performance and ensure proper PPE use, resources, and readiness of the team.
•Coordinate PTO and overtime consistent with policy, law, and the collective bargaining agreement, and meet schedule commitments from order entry through delivery.
•Lead daily IPT meetings and communicate with customers, suppliers, and support personnel while maintaining security of classified documents and communicating quality/cost/schedule metrics.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience, plus at least 2 years of relevant experience in technical or operational practices.
•Minimum 2 years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment.
•Experience analyzing manufacturing data such as cycle time, efficiency, capacity, and utilization.
•Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
•U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain the required U.S. security clearance.
