Job Summary

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, embed with customers on the West Coast to deliver the technical success of Harness implementations across multiple DevSecOps modules. You’ll design and implement CI/CD, infrastructure, and DevSecOps workflows, guide integration into customer toolchains, and lead onboarding and enablement to accelerate time-to-value. Partner with product, engineering, platform, and security teams, while analyzing adoption and performance data to improve reliability and drive measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

•Embed with customer teams as a hands-on technical partner to solve real-world challenges in their environments.
•Own the technical success of customer implementations across multiple Harness modules and act as a bridge to Harness Product and Engineering.
•Provide hands-on guidance to integrate Harness into existing toolchains and processes.
•Design and implement CI/CD, infrastructure, and DevSecOps workflows tailored to customer architectures, leading onboarding and enablement.
•Analyze usage and performance data to identify gaps, deliver actionable recommendations, and proactively mitigate adoption or retention risks.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 160,000 - 180,000 annually

Key Requirements

•7+ years in software engineering, solutions architecture, DevOps, or technical consulting.
•Experience in deeply technical, customer-facing roles (forward deployed, consulting, or professional services preferred).
•Proven ability to lead complex implementations and drive measurable customer outcomes.
•Hands-on experience across cloud/infrastructure and DevSecOps workflows (AWS/GCP/Azure, Terraform/CloudFormation, Linux).
•Experience with CI/CD and automation (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Harness, pipeline design) plus containers/orchestration (Kubernetes/Helm/Kustomize/OpenShift).
