Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, maintain and challenge robust project programmes with clear logic, dependencies, interfaces, key dates and critical path activities.
  • •Work with project managers, design managers, technical leads and delivery teams to define deliverables, design review periods, client approvals and programme assumptions.
  • •Identify and manage programme interfaces, constraints, risks, opportunities and change impacts across internal teams, clients and stakeholders.
  • •Create and manage integrated project programmes, including resource loading/levelling, milestone tracking and progress forecasting.
  • •Monitor, control and report progress against baselines, including float/dependency/slippage analysis, recovery actions and forecast completion dates, and provide programme inputs to cost forecasting and change management.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum of an HNC in a relevant engineering, construction, project controls or planning discipline.
  • •Experience developing, maintaining and challenging project programmes for energy transmission and distribution projects, ideally within the UK electricity sector.
  • •Knowledge or prior experience of the UK regulated and non-regulated transmission and distribution sectors and the programme implications of design management, client reviews, interfaces and delivery risks.
  • •Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6, including building logic-linked programmes, managing dependencies, resource loading/levelling, and supporting recovery planning.
  • •Knowledge of NEC4 contracts would be desirable; ability to liaise with project managers, design managers, technical teams, clients and stakeholders to obtain inputs and communicate programme risks and opportunities.
