Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide the full breadth of personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families at military installations.
  • •Conduct one-on-one counseling, consultations, briefings/presentations, and provide referral resources as part of counseling support.
  • •Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences and develop informational financial materials.
  • •Coordinate and publicize Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle and respond to requests for age-appropriate seminars.
  • •Provide surge and on-demand coverage for absent counselors while coordinating with installation and military branch points of contact and managing duty-to-warn situations per DoD protocol.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree required (associate degree plus 4 years or high school diploma plus 6 years may be considered in lieu).
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
  • •Must be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation and pass the OCI process.
  • •Hold one of the following certifications: AFC, CFP, or ChFC (DL listed as required license/certification).
