Job Summary

Lead capital projects and maintenance engineering for a fast-paced food manufacturing plant. You’ll develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance systems, TPM, and other strategies to reduce mechanical downtime and keep production lines running efficiently. As the maintenance and engineering department leader, you’ll manage maintenance staff, troubleshoot equipment and operational issues, and track KPIs like equipment reliability and overall equipment effectiveness while ensuring safety, food safety, and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities

•Own capital projects from concept to completion, managing and scheduling project elements to deliver on time and on budget without compromising safety, food safety, or environmental standards.
•Develop and implement maintenance systems to drive preventative and predictive maintenance and TPM, maximizing scheduling efficiency and minimizing downtime.
•Inspire and manage the maintenance team by delegating tasks, enforcing policies, and guiding work assignments while maintaining safety-first culture and compliance with federal and state regulations.
•Provide short-term fixes and long-term solutions to operational challenges by troubleshooting, conducting problem analysis, and addressing equipment failures.
•Develop and track KPIs for the maintenance function, including equipment reliability and overall equipment effectiveness, to support continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related) plus 8+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•2+ years of demonstrated experience managing/developing a team or leading projects.
•Advanced technical skills in mechanical/electrical fields, including PLCs and instrumentation, and the ability to lead resource planning in a manufacturing environment.
•Thorough knowledge of maintenance systems, work order processes, preventive/predictive maintenance, and TPM.
•Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word) and clearly communicate in written and oral formats.
