Key Responsibilities

  • •Interpret or transliterate live, synchronous virtual academic content per assigned students’ IEPs.
  • •Adapt language and materials to meet the individual needs of students with hearing loss.
  • •Collaborate with general education teachers, special education teachers, caregivers, and related service providers to support IEP-compliant services.
  • •Attend IEP meetings and serve as an integral IEP team liaison for students who are D/HH and the school community.
  • •Provide expressive and voice interpretation for classroom instruction and support extracurricular activities and caregiver meetings.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 55 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 1 year experience interpreting in an educational environment.
  • •Minimum 1 year experience providing interpreting services virtually.
  • •Required: EIPA scores.
  • •National Interpreter Certification (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf) and/or state-specific educational interpreter licensure.
  • •Experience using one or more signing systems in an educational setting (ASL, Manually Coded English, CASE, and/or Finger Spelling).
