Job Summary

Own and improve the engineering CAD and PLM environment for Naval Ship design and manufacturing. Drive development of CAD processes for 3D modelling and engineering outputs, integrate CAD/PLM/ERP into efficient workflows, and provide training and technical guidance for users. Lead testing and validation of CAD solutions, support deployment and adoption of new tools, and enable manufacturing by creating and maintaining NC programs for plate and profile production.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive development and improvement of CAD processes for Naval Ship 3D modelling and engineering outputs.
•Support integration of CAD, PLM, and ERP systems to enable connected engineering workflows.
•Provide training, user support, and technical guidance on CAD modelling, outputs, and best practices.
•Lead testing and validation activities to ensure CAD solutions meet business and technical requirements.
•Support implementation of new CAD tools and processes and enable manufacturing via NC program creation and maintenance.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 50,000

Key Requirements

•Strong 3D CAD modelling experience with engineering drawings and production outputs, preferably in shipbuilding using FORAN Structural modules (FHULL, FNEST, FHINFO, FBUILDS, FDESIGN) and/or Siemens NX.
•Understand engineering and manufacturing processes and how design information is managed across the product lifecycle.
•Ability to develop, document, and improve engineering processes, standards, user guides, and best-practice procedures.
•Understanding of NC programming and manufacturing principles for plate and profile production.
•Experience defining and improving engineering processes and supporting implementation of new digital tools.
