Key Responsibilities

  • •Map and monitor academic institutions, research centers, and societies to find partnership and academic sales opportunities across Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • •Build and maintain a robust database of decision-makers and stakeholders within target institutions.
  • •Track market developments and competitor activities, and conduct research on the higher-education landscape and policies.
  • •Leverage Excel and internal business intelligence tools to create actionable market insights and support sales narratives and presentations.
  • •Maintain accurate sales pipeline in CRM, respond to RFPs with customized quotes, and collaborate with Marketing and Editorial on outreach activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 3 years of sales experience.
  • •Prior publishing experience with an understanding of the higher education/research/library environment.
  • •Strong organizational and pipeline management skills to manage multiple prospects, projects, and deadlines.
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills with advanced presentation ability.
  • •Proficiency with Windows applications including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; CRM software experience is helpful.
