Job Summary

Assist Lead/Senior Process Engineer in Conceptual studies and basic design, providing technical support during detailed design for oil & gas process facilities. Perform heat and material balance, develop PFDs and P&IDs, specify equipment, and build process simulation models to optimize facility performance. Participate in safety reviews and produce design philosophies and manuals.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist Lead/Senior Process Engineer in conceptual studies and basic design, providing technical support during the detailed design phase for oil & gas process projects.
•Carry out engineering activities such as preparation of heat and material balances and development of process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
•Finalize system design parameters and perform necessary calculations; specify equipment and systems (heat exchangers, vessels, pumps, reactors, instruments).
•Develop process simulation models for facility design/upgrades and implement advanced controls/process optimization using tools like HYSYS, PIPEFLOW/PIPEPHASE/PIPESIM, and FLARENET.
•Prepare design philosophies, operating/commissioning guidelines, and manuals; participate in safety reviews such as HAZOP and SIL.

Key Requirements

•Higher technical education (engineering) relevant to process plants (oil & gas, petrochemical, or related fields)
•3+ years of work experience in process engineering or a closely related role
•Familiarity with process simulation tools (HYSYS, PIPEFLOW, PIPEPHASE, PIPESIM, FLARENET)
•Experience in conceptual studies, basic design, and providing technical support during detailed design phases
•Ability to develop heat and material balances and detailed design documents (PFDs, P&IDs) and specify equipment such as heat exchangers, vessels, pumps, reactors, and instruments
