Key Responsibilities

  • •Comply with rules and procedures of the profession and interpret general radiology examinations within training and clinical privileges.
  • •Interpret and perform specialized procedures (e.g., fluoroscopy, angiography, ultrasound, radioisotopes, CT, MRI) with required approval and within expertise.
  • •Issue written instructions and consultative reports for imaging studies, including main and differential diagnoses and recommendations for additional studies.
  • •Coordinate with technologists to reduce unnecessary patient radiation and supervise clinical output in CT and MRI services.
  • •Participate in quality assurance and radiation safety activities, equipment evaluation/committee work, and provide on-call emergency coverage.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience at Specialist level (independent of country).
  • •At least 1 year Specialist level experience from a Tier 1 country as specified by the UAE healthcare regulator.
  • •Basic medical degree and completion of a specialty qualification/education programme (fellowship/diploma) recognized by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.
  • •Certification and registration in a speciality recognized by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.
  • •Active and valid life support certification (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP).
