Key Responsibilities

  • •Assess and treat occupational illnesses and injuries within a poultry complex, including review of post-offer medical histories and recommending referrals per protocol.
  • •Administer drug and alcohol testing and provide first aid, nursing, or emergency care within the RN scope of practice.
  • •Maintain accurate OSHA and workers’ compensation recordkeeping using an electronic medical record and timely documentation of clinical care and case management.
  • •Lead and support safety, ergonomics, respiratory protection, first responder, and blood borne pathogen programs; manage ergonomics job measurement system.
  • •Partner with workers’ compensation adjusters, case managers, and providers to manage claims and represent the site in workers’ compensation litigation when needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Registered Nurse with a current, active, unrestricted state license.
  • •Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience; occupational health experience preferred.
  • •Knowledge of OSHA standards and OSHA recordkeeping requirements.
  • •Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; multilingual preferred.
  • •Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with workers’ compensation administration/case management preferred.
