Job Summary

Operate yard switcher tractors to safely and efficiently move, spot, and position empty and loaded trailers between docks and yard locations. Verify dock status and authorization, align and secure trailers for dock-ready loading/unloading, and maintain orderly yard flow. Perform daily mechanical and safety inspections, manage pedestrian and equipment traffic awareness, and use stop-work authority when unsafe conditions arise. Support Transportation, Production, Warehouse, and Vertique operations.

Key Responsibilities

•Spot, move, and position empty and loaded trailers between docks and designated yard locations.
•Demonstrate strong backing skills in blind-side and tight-space maneuvers while minimizing risk to people, product, and infrastructure.
•Ensure trailers are properly aligned, secured, and dock-ready prior to loading or unloading.
•Maintain orderly trailer placement to support efficient yard flow and dock utilization, confirming dock status and receiving authorization before moving trailers.
•Operate yard switcher tractors safely per PBV policies and OSHA requirements, perform daily inspections, and report mechanical or safety concerns.
