Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical leadership for the design, engineering, and commissioning of utility and commercial power projects, including substations, power distribution/regulation, renewable facilities, and protection & control systems.
  • •Coordinate, review, and approve electrical infrastructure design plans for mid-level and complex projects while ensuring data integrity and compliance with applicable codes, ordinances, and regulations.
  • •Develop points lists for data transfer between control centers and controlled apparatus, including data addressing/routing and Human Machine Interface (HMI) screen development; support testing and commissioning at project sites.
  • •Design and configure SCADA-related network and communication paths for RTUs, data concentrators, IEDs, and HMIs, specifying communication networks with attention to data security and availability.
  • •Develop, document, and implement logic and control schemes for remote and local operation of power system equipment (including microgrid, Volt/VAR control, and load shedding), then travel to test and commission solutions.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • •7 to 10 years of relevant post-education experience as an electrical engineer providing design deliverables for power generation, transmission, and distribution projects.

  • •Occasional travel may be required based on project-specific needs.
