Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate and monitor boilers, gas turbine generators, HRSG, tank farm, multiple effect evaporators, and other plant utilities to ensure safe and optimized performance.
  • •Troubleshoot process upsets to identify root causes and return systems to normal operating conditions.
  • •Lead and support plant start-ups, shutdowns, equipment isolations, and handovers with precision and accountability.
  • •Use SAP and digital tools to document operational data, initiate maintenance work orders, and maintain detailed records.
  • •Maintain safety culture by following lockout/tagout procedures, permitting requirements, and environmental controls.

Key Requirements

  • •Valid 2nd Class Power Engineer’s Certificate (Saskatchewan or Interprovincial); high-achieving 3rd Class candidates progressing toward 2nd Class may be considered.
  • •Solid operational experience in large-scale industrial, energy, chemical, or resource processing facilities.
  • •Ability to read P&IDs, interpret control system data, and write technical logs and reports.
  • •Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with situational awareness to respond to operational issues.
