Job Summary

Lead SoFi Bank’s secured commercial real estate lending function, overseeing origination, underwriting, credit administration, portfolio management, servicing handoffs, and ongoing monitoring. Drive day-to-day operations, operational planning, resourcing, KPIs/KRIs, credit strategy execution, portfolio discipline, and risk monitoring. Partner cross-functionally with Credit, Risk, Operations, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Servicing, and senior leaders to ensure strong governance, scalable processes, and sound credit judgment.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead key workflows across the secured commercial real estate lending lifecycle, including origination, underwriting, credit administration, portfolio monitoring, servicing handoffs, and borrower management.
•Independently manage day-to-day operations, planning, prioritization, and resourcing for the commercial real estate lending team.
•Develop, implement, and refine credit strategy; ensure lending aligns with approved credit policy, risk appetite, regulatory expectations, and business objectives.
•Monitor portfolio performance and emerging risks (credit quality, borrower trends, collateral performance, concentration risk) and resolve complex credit, operational, market, and servicing issues.
•Lead and develop the team by setting expectations, coaching for credit judgment and execution discipline, managing coverage and continuity, and fostering a culture of credit discipline and continuous improvement.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 115,200 - 198,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of related experience in commercial real estate lending, commercial credit, banking, risk management, portfolio management, or a related discipline; or Master’s degree and 10+ years of related experience.
•Significant experience leading commercial real estate credit, lending, portfolio management, or credit administration functions, preferably within a regulated bank or financial institution.
•Experience leading multiple complex workflows across teams or business environments across the commercial lending lifecycle.
•Experience managing credit strategy execution, portfolio performance, underwriting standards, credit policy, risk indicators, business metrics, and portfolio governance.
•Familiarity with bank regulatory expectations, CECL, credit loss forecasting, regulatory exams, internal audits, loan review, or enterprise risk management.
