Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct supplier selection for specific products using the approved supplier list.
  • •Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development, including concept scoping, trade-off trade tables, should-cost/clean-sheet models, joint design development (statements of work), and simulation of mechanical/electronics designs.
  • •Develop and consolidate manufacturing BOMs with Quality and Manufacturing to ramp production internally and with suppliers.
  • •Manage CAPEX throughout NPI, run value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility, and perform BOM risk assessment with alternate component sourcing.
  • •Lead cost engineering activities to converge the bottoms-up cost curve to product cost and manage ad-hoc cost issues (e.g., tariffs/import-export cost and cost inflation).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or other technical field.
  • •3+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement/development, or design of mechanical and/or electrical devices.
  • •Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component and product level.
  • •Ability to travel 10% - 40% of the time based on program needs.
  • •Ability to relocate to be onsite in Costa Mesa, CA if not already local.
