Job Summary

Senior Commercial Counsel to support Atlassian’s US Public Sector cloud business. Key Responsibilities

•Join a small (but mighty!) team building the framework to support our US Public Sector cloud business.
•Provide pragmatic, business-minded guidance on customer requests and contract-related issues for SLED and Federal Civilian Sales, including statutory and regulatory requests from public sector customers.
•Analyze and negotiate reseller sales agreements including contract vehicles and flowdown terms.
•Draft terms and liaise with Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams to support the continued development of Atlassian Government Cloud.
•Negotiate contracts from drafting to execution, including contract generation, redlining, exhibit coordination, approval escalation, record management and post-execution support and compliance.

Key Requirements

•6+ years of public sector SaaS agreement negotiation experience, particularly with SLED and Federal Civilian customers.
•FedRAMP compliance + contracting familiarity.
•Knowledge of federal, state, and education procurement processes, including contract vehicles (GSA, CA SLP, NY OGS, etc.).
•Experience developing and maintaining efficient processes for a busy commercial legal team.
•Excellent business judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to work flexibly with a variety of teams.
