Job Summary

Lead the end-to-end national bid process for short-term insurance tenders, improving bid quality and strengthening governance. Plan and manage RFP and online tender opportunities, coordinate bid teams with solution lines and executives, and develop tailored proposal content. Ensure submissions meet client requirements, regulatory and guideline compliance, branding standards, and deadlines. Support post-submission debriefs, manage documentation, and drive continuous improvement in the bid function.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the end-to-end national bid function for short-term insurance tenders, supporting growth and bid governance.
•Review online tender opportunities and RFPs, and adopt and implement Aon’s global bid and proposal management process.
•Assemble and lead the bid team in coordination with solution lines and executives, assigning tasks and ensuring collaboration to deliver completed RFPs.
•Develop bid proposals by collating, writing, editing, and reviewing proposal content; tailor submissions to client needs and leverage reusable content.
•Manage compliance and submission activities, including documentation/certificates, formatting and legal requirements, submission delivery, and post-submission debriefs and client query responses.

Key Requirements

•Be in possession of Grade 12 (matric).
•Have a proven experience in a related role.
•Ability to develop detailed bid plans, manage timelines, and coordinate multiple tasks and team members.
•Knowledge of short-term insurance.
•Be computer literate with advanced experience in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and have strong writing skills for proposal content.
