Lead the Analytics Engineering team’s most complex initiatives by owning technical architecture and roadmap for semantic-layer design and source-of-truth consolidation. Build AI-ready data foundations that power Snowflake Intelligence, agent-based use cases, and machine learning. Drive dbt excellence (incrementals, macros, testing, and CI/CD), set SQL and modeling craftsmanship standards, mentor senior engineers, and partner cross-functionally to operationalize governance, lineage, observability, and high-value data sources.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the technical architecture and roadmap for complex analytics engineering initiatives, including semantic layer design and source-of-truth consolidation
•Architect semantic layer and metrics standards so KPIs are defined once and consumed consistently across dashboards, models, AI agents, and downstream products
•Lead design of an AI-ready data platform with trustworthy, performant, production-ready modeling, metadata, and governance
•Drive technical excellence across dbt projects: model architecture, incremental/materialization strategies, performance tuning, macros, testing patterns, and CI/CD
•Mentor senior and analytics engineers via code review and design feedback; partner with DS, Data Engineering, and Core Technology on migrations, deployments, and streaming pipeline contributions

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 160,000 - 185,000 annually

Key Requirements

•6+ years in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or Business Intelligence with a track record leading complex, cross-cutting initiatives
•4+ years of hands-on production experience with dbt, including incremental strategies, macros, custom tests, and CI/CD design
•3+ years of deep experience with a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake strongly preferred), including performance tuning and cost optimization
•Expert-level SQL and dimensional data modeling with durable, well-tested foundational models
•Experience designing/operating a semantic or metrics layer as a source of truth, plus mentoring and strong written/verbal communication to align stakeholders
