Job Summary

Join an Applied Machine Learning team owning the end-to-end ML lifecycle for recommendation, ads, and search systems. You’ll conduct research on recommendation and personalization using large-scale models, generative recommendation, and reinforcement learning, while prototyping multimodal modeling strategies (text, image, video). Collaborate with mentors and engineers, test ideas in real-world settings, and share results via presentations, technical reports, and potential publications.

Key Responsibilities

•Conduct research in machine learning for recommendation systems, including large-scale recommendation models, generative recommendation, or reinforcement learning for personalization.
•Explore and prototype new modeling strategies leveraging multi-modal data (text, image, video) to improve content and user understanding.
•Investigate long-term user behavior modeling and reinforcement learning techniques to improve sustained engagement.
•Collaborate with mentors and researchers/engineers to test ideas in real-world environments.
•Share findings through internal presentations, technical reports, and potentially external publications.

Key Requirements

•Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
•Strong research background in machine learning, deep learning, and/or recommender systems.
•Proficiency in Python or C++ and familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
•Solid understanding of modern ML methods including transformers, large language models (LLMs), and multi-modal learning.
•Ability to conduct independent research with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
