Key Responsibilities

  • •Contribute to the overall Commodities portfolio and deliveries, ensuring accurate P&L and balance sheet reporting.
  • •Reconcile actual P&L with trader estimates and provide variance analysis and explanations.
  • •Collaborate with trading desks on position, P&L or other issues on an ad-hoc basis; perform front-to-back reconciliations to firm sub-ledgers.
  • •Execute month-end controls to ensure variances are within thresholds and maintain control discipline.
  • •Analyze traders’ risk positions, apply Greeks (Delta, Vega, Gamma) against daily market moves, and communicate findings to Front Office and Finance teams.

Key Requirements

  • •Qualified Chartered Accountant/CPA/CFA/MBA/B.Tech from Tier I/II institute with at least 8 yrs. experience in Investment Banking Valuation/Product Control function, preferably with experience in Commodities.
  • •Advanced education and/or enhanced technical qualifications are a plus; ability to use Access or VBA would enhance attractiveness significantly.
  • •Strong understanding of Commodities markets & products and P&L attribution and accounting of Commodities products.
  • •Experience communicating with personnel across various areas and management levels; proactive, highly motivated self-starter.
  • •Proficiency in MS Office Suite; Excel, Word, PowerPoint; VBA/Access/database/macros experience is advantageous.
