Key Responsibilities

  • •Execute hardware maintenance, upgrades, and retrofits independently at Ocado and remotely at customer sites while collaborating with other remote engineers.
  • •Troubleshoot hardware failures at customer facilities and drive remediation efforts.
  • •Provide technical writing and subject-matter expertise for training documentation.
  • •Design, build, and deploy support tools, fixtures, and service kits for field maintenance.
  • •Document service history, report hardware quality trends, apply Six Sigma principles, and support automation deployment projects including mobile robots.

Key Requirements

  • •BS/MS in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Systems Engineering.
  • •Extensive hands-on experience with electro-mechanical devices of medium complexity.
  • •Strong communication skills to work independently in remote environments.
  • •Proficiency with industrial robotics, automotive, and/or computer repair (familiarity).
  • •Experience using Jira, Confluence, and Slack, plus hand tools (soldering equipment, multimeters, torque measurement devices).
