Job Summary

Lead the Benefits Compliance function for the South Atlantic region, reporting to the Regional Vice President (RVP) and supporting a team of compliance attorneys and specialists. Provide guidance to employee benefit consultants and client employers on health and welfare plan compliance across ERISA, PPACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and related federal and state laws. Review compliance checklists, answer inquiries (often within 24 hours), deliver webinars and internal training, and stay current on regulatory changes.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide benefits compliance guidance to employee benefit consultants and employer clients across applicable federal and state laws.
•Perform compliance checklist reviews and coordinate follow-up with account management teams for key and national account clients.
•Respond to benefits compliance questions in a timely manner, often within 24 hours.
•Stay abreast of legislative and regulatory changes impacting the region and compliance requirements.
•Conduct or support webinars and seminars and educate account teams using compliance resources, toolkits, and publications.

Salary: USD 120,000 - 165,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Minimum 4 years of experience in employee benefits and/or compliance.
•Knowledge of laws and regulations governing health and welfare plans.
•Clear communication skills to explain compliance in accessible language to internal and external stakeholders.
•Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize to meet deadlines.
•Excellent presentation skills and strong ethics/integrity, with ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
