Key Responsibilities

  • •Maximise equipment utilisation through coaching on safe and efficient operation, daily inspections, and corrective actions.
  • •Direct production by monitoring, controlling, and optimising processes to meet specifications and targets.
  • •Implement procedures to ensure continuous equipment availability and achieve production goals.
  • •Manage shift handovers with reporting and planning to minimise operational impact; develop and review contingency plans.
  • •Lead, coordinate, supervise, and coach production teams to achieve targets while ensuring compliance with legal, environmental, occupational health, safety, and risk management standards.

Key Requirements

  • •Collaborative leadership with a track record developing others and delivering results through teams.
  • •Relevant surface mining experience with heavy mobile equipment.
  • •You should hold or be willing to complete Schedule 26 - Statutory Supervisor accreditation (Alcoa will support obtaining it).
  • •Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership position or have worked in a similar operation or industry.
  • •Ability to demonstrate strategic thinking, planning, problem solving, coordination, and versatility.
