Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and implement Linux-based high-performance firmware for Life Safety edge devices.
  • •Define structured software solutions that meet requirements and optimize performance, security, and reusability.
  • •Translate business features into technical requirements and acceptance criteria to direct development and confirm completion.
  • •Collaborate with product owner, stakeholders, engineering, and test teams to deliver high-quality products and solve customer problems.
  • •Author high-quality unit-tested code, support software re-use, and work with the test team to ensure adequate test coverage using defined quality metrics.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
  • •3+ years of hands-on expertise in C, C++, and Linux-based firmware applications on microcontrollers and device drivers.
  • •Experience with industrial Ethernet/fieldbus protocols such as EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, Profinet, BACnet IP, and/or 61850 (plus related technologies like Modbus, DeviceNet, Profibus DP, BACnet).
  • •Good knowledge of Linux (driver/kernel) and API-based frameworks or SDKs.
  • •Experience with Agile teams and tools like JIRA and BitBucket; unit testing and test automation are preferred.
