Job Summary

Lead the manufacturing engineering function for ALSO, driving FATP scope across key vehicle subsystems and complete vehicles. Develop manufacturing strategy, capacity models, and budget; translate plans into actionable tasks; build and recruit a centralized Mfg Eng team; collaborate with engineering and supply chain to optimize manufacturability, reliability, and cost, and oversee line bring-up and production alongside AI/automation partners.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop the manufacturing strategy, process plans, capacity models, and budget.
•Break down the plans into actionable tasks and manage the tactical execution.
•Develop the centralized Mfg Eng team org chart, create the required job functions, recruit and grow the team’s skills.
•Collaborate with the engineering and supply chain teams to design the product for manufacturing, reliability, and cost improvement.
•Single responsible individual (DRI) to ensure smooth bring-up of manufacturing lines during NPI and then sustaining of the lines over the product lifecycle.

Key Requirements

• BS or greater in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
•Decades of hands-on experience developing new product and process technologies from a start-up environment through to volume manufacturing
•Successful track record of manufacturing processes and equipment deployment for medium to high volume manufacturing experience
•Experience across multiple manufacturing contexts and ability to tailor approaches to ALSO's product lines (e.g., automotive + consumer products)
•Experience with vehicle GA and functional tests, and with specialized subsystem processes (e.g., battery, drive unit)
