Key Responsibilities

  • •Apply Systems Thinking to complex system challenges, eliciting, analyzing, and managing stakeholder requirements so systems engineering artefacts satisfy needs.
  • •Lead and manage delivery of on-going contracted workstreams, delivering tailored systems engineering services across the Asset Management Service Hubs.
  • •Execute systems development strategies across the lifecycle, including qualification plus integration, verification, and validation activities.
  • •Identify emergent properties, perform trade-offs/optimisation, and conduct risk management and verification activities for system realisation.
  • •Use Model Based Systems Engineering tools (e.g., Enterprise Architect) to capture system definition and mentor junior engineers with secondary line management responsibility.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 49,100 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Understand engineering principles and apply systems thinking to complex problems using appropriate systems engineering standards (e.g., ISO 15288).
  • •Demonstrate experience in requirements management and configuration management for large-scale complex system designs across lifecycle models (e.g., V model, Waterfall, Agile) using tools such as JIRA.
  • •Use high-level design methodologies (e.g., UAF, NAF, TOGAF, SysML, UML) and contemporary concepts/technologies such as MBSE, digital twins, autonomous systems, AR/VR, AI/ML, and IoT.
  • •Have degree-level qualification in Systems Engineering or a related discipline and be working toward Chartered Engineer (CEng) status via a relevant professional body.
  • •Mentor and support junior engineers, with secondary line management responsibility.
