Key Responsibilities

  • •Use needle/syringe to collect blood samples from pedigree birds for genomic selection and to monitor bird health and diseases.
  • •Prepare, clean, and sanitize sampling and blood testing instruments.
  • •Record information according to instructions for sampling pedigree chickens.
  • •Assist with related farm tasks such as moving birds as scheduled and cleaning/disinfecting equipment and vehicles used on the farm.
  • •Euthanize selected or weak/ill birds in accordance with company policy.

Key Requirements

  • •Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no employment gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months (or 18 months for certain circumstances).
