Key Responsibilities

  • •Support DE tests in a lab environment and interpret instructions into experimental actions and outcomes.
  • •Provide hands-on wet process support for critical coatings, including SOP creation/maintenance and continuous improvement.
  • •Troubleshoot operation, process, and equipment issues to achieve performance goals and ensure node quality.
  • •Compile and analyze test data from performed testing, coordinating across team boundaries as needed.
  • •Apply technical skills to resolve non-routine questions independently and oversee maintenance and training within a functional group.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma (or equivalent) with 10 years of relevant technical experience, or 2 years as a Development Engineer Technician I at First Solar.
  • •Associate’s degree in an engineering discipline (or similar technical discipline) with 3 years of relevant technical experience, or 2 years as a Development Engineer Technician I at First Solar.
  • •Ability to perform sample testing, semiconductor device fabrication, and/or electrical or optical measurements.
  • •Ability to troubleshoot basic to moderate process and equipment issues in the lab or on the production line.
  • •Prior wet coatings experience (spin coat, spray coat, slot die, industrial inkjet print, ink mixing, cleaning) is required.
