Job Summary

Gain hands-on experience in road construction through rotations across field and office work. Learn project management for the build process, including sourcing, bidding, estimators, and setting up contracts and subcontracts. Key Responsibilities

•Rotate through construction-focused experiences including project management for sourcing, bidding, and the build process.
•Support the bidding process with estimators and help set up contracts and subcontracts.
•Gain hands-on experience with asphalt plant operations, including assisting with yard crew and maintenance.
•Work with construction and/or prep crews and learn how to prepare for jobs and set up job sites with foremen.
•Assist with business management through monthly reporting, understanding job cost/workload/scheduling, and basics of P&L and financial statements.

Key Requirements

•Working toward a bachelor’s in construction management, engineering, or business management with interest in heavy construction (site-work, roads, or environmental).
•Learn and assist with construction project activities, including bidding processes with estimators and building contracts/subcontracts.
•Work alongside project managers, superintendents, road crews, and production facilities in both field and office settings.
•Perform physical duties required for outdoor construction environments, including lifting up to 50 lbs and operating/working around heavy equipment.
•Be able to work a flexible schedule based on project needs and demands.
