Job Summary

Operate and troubleshoot cement plant equipment to keep production running reliably and efficiently. You’ll inspect and maintain systems such as the rotary dryer and ball mill, perform daily quality control sampling and ASTM testing, and document results. The role also includes following all plant safety guidelines, operating mobile equipment for material handling and product shipping, and performing routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and general housekeeping.

Key Responsibilities

•Work as part of a team to ensure uninterrupted plant operation and maximize operational efficiency.
•Inspect and troubleshoot rotary dryer, ball mill system, material handling systems, auxiliary equipment, and bulk storage/shipping equipment.
•Perform quality control sampling and testing, routine equipment inspections and repairs, and preventative maintenance routines.
•Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines, and perform tasks that support safe and efficient housekeeping.
•Operate mobile equipment for material handling and product shipping, gather/prepare samples, analyze results, and complete required documentation/reporting.

Key Requirements

•High school graduation or equivalent is required.
•Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, and signs.
•Willingness to learn, with training provided.
•Proficient English written and verbal communication skills.
•Knowledge of a cement or related dry materials manufacturing process, plus control system and mobile equipment operation; mechanical and electrical principles knowledge is needed.
