Job Summary

Lead Pratt & Whitney’s Coating Process Council as the Senior Technical Fellow, driving resolution of systemic quality and production issues across worldwide manufacturing and supplier sites. Establish performance benchmarks and standardization for diffusion, vapor deposition, thermal spray, and low-temperature coating processes, and own the coatings technology roadmap and PFMEA. Develop proficiency, mentor teams, review technical specifications for future capital acquisitions, and approve coating procedures and standard work while supporting patent reviews as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead resolution of systemic quality and production issues related to coatings across internal and external supply chain sites.
•Establish performance benchmarks and standardization to achieve best-in-class coating processes.
•Lead the Coating Process Council and own the coatings technology roadmap and Parent/Child PFMEA’s.
•Develop employee proficiency levels, training, and mentorship for the coatings sub-discipline.
•Be the key change agent, reviewer, and approver for coating procedures and standard work; capture and share best practices across producers.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, or related engineering field.
•20+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 15+ years of relevant experience.
•Experience in the aviation, turbomachinery and/or gas turbine industries.
•Excellent communication skills, including 1-on-1, group presentations, and written communications.
•U.S. citizen is required for authorization under certain programs/contracts.
