Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain equipment to cut off, weld, grind, anneal, grit blast, inspect, and pack Porta Band blades.
  • •Set up and adjust automatic cut-off and resistance butt welding processes for required length/quantity and welding parameters.
  • •Use grinding tools to remove weld flash and keep welder jaws clean; reverse/remove/replace jaws as required and complete documentation.
  • •Perform inspections/tests throughout the manufacturing process and prepare blades for shipping containers, including handling scrap/rework and mixed product per ISO 9001.
  • •Perform scheduled daily/weekly/monthly maintenance (disassemble, clean, lubricate, repair) and follow all safety rules; notify supervisors when problems occur; cross-train in other operations.
